Nigeria Immigration Service Launches Post-Amnesty Voluntary Return And Documentation Programme (PAVRDP)

The Nigeria Immigration Service (“NIS”) has announced the commencement of a Post-Amnesty Voluntary Return and Documentation Programme (“PAVRDP”) for foreign nationals residing in Nigeria without valid immigration status, effective October 13, 2025. The initiative follows the expiration of the Expired Visa Initiative Amnesty Programme on September 30, 2025, and aims to provide a streamlined framework for the regularization or voluntary departure of affected foreign nationals.
